Gidel RCLF remote Camera Link over Fiber Optic System | 2 km to 40 km range | Connect to another RCLF then any frame grabber | Or connect to Gidel Hawk-Eye-CL frame grabber directly
The Remote Camera Link Fiber-Optic (RCLF) extension system allows frame acquisition from a remote camera at a distance of up to 40 km without repeaters. A remote camera connects directly to the RCLF module, which transmits the camera image over fiber optic cable. On the host end, the fiber-optic cable connects to either a Gidel PCIe HawkEye-CL frame grabber board mounted in a host computer or to another Gidel RCLGR module that can interface with any user frame grabber. The RCLF supports all Camera Link modes, including 80-bit DECA, and has the option to connect two base mode cameras.
The RCLF unit is supported by remote I/O capabilities via the fiber optic cable, including:
Camera Link camera control lines for remote control of the camera
Camera Link serial communication
Dedicated I/O interface for RS232 and GPIO
3-30V opto-coupler drivers and receivers
The Gidel HawkEye-CL frame grabber offers high speed image and video acquisition, on-board real-time image processing, many I/O options, and multi-camera synchronization.
