Kaya Instruments manufactures companion products to its high performance machine vision industrial cameras and image acquisition frame grabbers, using the FPGA Mezzanine Card FMC standard. These obviously also work for non-imaging FPGA applications.
FMC is an ANSI/VITA (VMEbus International Trade Association) 57.1 standard that defines I/O mezzanine modules with connection to an FPGA or other device with re-configurable I/O capability. It specifies a low profile connector and compact board size for compatibility with several industry standard slot card, blade, low profile motherboard, and mezzanine form factors.
Windows PC or Linux computer server to camera links in many combinations. Video can be captured over 4 channels at 12.5 Gbps each.
These host and device links, where R = Receive and T = Transmit, are:
By mounting a daughterboard onto a standard Gidel FPGA accelerator card, and installing the appropriate FPGA IP Core, the necessary connectors are made available to the camera. All Gidel FPGA accelerator boards can be transformed into CXP-1 frame grabbers at 6 Gbps.
KAYA Instruments provides high quality full coax cable assembly with DIN and BNC connectors for CoaXpress machine vision and other uses. CXP1 and CXP2 cables are made to order to any length, color, quantity, and connector combination. Low volume and production quantity coax cables can be ordered, in both 6 Gbps and 12 Gbps variants. Cables for CoaXPress Versions 1 and 2 are available.
Similarly, fiber optic cable of any length and with any connector combination in small and large volumes for CLHS, 10GigE Vision, and other applications can be provided.
